Aurora Medical Team Explorer Post 525 is a program for teens with an interest in emergency medicine. Students get hands-on experience and see what it’s really like to practice emergency first aid.
Students in our group will meet many professionals who will share their educational and work experiences. You’ll learn about their personal challenges and the rewards they’ve experienced in their profession.

- Increase students’ knowledge of careers in the field of health care.
- Provide youth with hands on experiences providing real first aid support.
- Provide educational, cultural, social, and recreational activities to increase the likelihood of students’ choosing a healthcare profession.
Emphasis On

We provide quality certification for all levels of first aid! Classes are taught at the adult level to groups, youth groups, the public and businesses. Graduates receive nationally certified cards for first aid and CPR. We also teach “Readyman” (first aid) for Webelo Cub Scouts and First Aid Merit Badge for Boy Scouts.
AMT has provided operational medicine to festivals, conferences and Boy Scouts of America since 1988.
AMT is a “medical club”, where teens get the chance to experience emergency medicine. This is valuable for young people who are interested in a possible medical career. The experience gained by learning about first aid, doing real field first aid, and working with first aid classes is invaluable in making a good career choice. Many AMT alumni are now EMTs, firefighters, paramedics, and nurses. AMT has been serving the area for more than 25 years.
We are also looking for adult volunteers, and you don’t have to be a medical professional. If you want to work with young people and first aid we could use your help. AMT provides all training.
